25 - 100VA REFERENCE POWERED SYNCHRO AMPLIFIERS

Computer Conversions Corporation manufactures a complete line of highly reliable reference powered solid state synchro amplifiers to accommodate modern updates for Naval-Maritime and Air related applications. The SPA Series amplifiers incorporate unique AC pulsating power stages that drive the synchro power directly off synchro’s AC reference source, thus eliminating the need for external DC power supplies, raving efficiencies as high as 80%.

The SPA Series are convection cooled devices with a convenient bulk-head mount aluminum chassis’ that are available in power drive models ranging from 25 to 100VA.

Universal wideband frequency accommodate both 60 and 400Hz. 90 Volt signal synchro systems for Naval and Maritime applications and dual voltage input models are available to operate off 115 or 26 Volt reference sources having 11.8 Volt output signals common to many aircraft related applications.

They include a built-in kick circuit to automatically free stalled rotors when driving torque receivers. A built-in-test output for status feedback and an output enable control are standard. The signal and reference-power inputs feature transformer isolation and the BIT input and enable controls output feature opto-isolated inputs, assuring 100% isolation is provided throughout. The outputs are short circuit protected and current limited with transient protectiona and thermal cutoff.

Input signals can be either a 3 wire synchro or 4 wire resolver format allowing them to run off either direct synchro inputs for easy retrofits and computer controlled upgrades typically using low voltage and low power resolver inputs.

These models provide an accuracy of 3 arc minutes. Multiple synchro’s can be driven by a single unit. Operating temperature range is -40^oC to +85^oC, the best in the industry!
